Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Once booked, please send me a brief with any details you wish to share about the role and I’ll take a quick look before the Mock Interview call.
Please include any stakeholders that will be in the panel (the recruiter should have shared this with you, if not, please ask them for their LinkedIn profiles) and we can take a look during the call.
If you want to do mock interview, I'd definitely recommend booking for 1 hour as we will cover a review of the JD, then panelists and then job interview practice.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
I use the following structure:
Review of interviewer profile(s) to understand their background and the type of questions they will ask
Review of JD to understand what are the priorities for the business and that interviewers will look for in candidates
Mock Interview questions: I will put myself in their shoes and ask the type of questions they would ask and evaluate your responses from a data-driven and business KPIs perspective
Recommendations: I usually provide next steps recommendations that you can leverage autonomously for current and future interviews as well as helpful resources
I am usually booked for 1h because of all the elements we go over above - it also helps people be more autonomous for future interviews and that is what helps them land.
If you find the word "Interview" on my 100+ Reviews page on this website, you will be able to read more about Mock Interviews and Interview Prep.
I am indeed usually booked for 1h for interview prep and mock interviews. And it's also what I would usually recommend.
Why?
Because we cover several elements that will help you with your next interview but also with any others you have in the future:
Understanding who is your audience: the interviewers
Understanding the needs: the job description
Putting the two together and the type of questions you will be asked at each stage of the recruitment process
Practice several questions
Going over the answers and elements that you can improve based on the information gathered in the session about your audience and the needs of the role
Additional tips for your job search
30 minute sessions are ok for questions and answers, defining next steps, tips, some document reviews (not resume or Linkedin because we do spend a lot of time making changes together line by line)... but if you'd like to actually practice questions, I'd recommend 1 hour.
If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
Of course, please go ahead and send me any information you wish to share about your case and role you are interviewing for. I'll be happy to take a quick look before the call.
It's important to mention that I need as much information as possible and usually request a brief after the call has been booked. I then take a quick look before our call and ask to go over the following:The LinkedIn profile of the person you'll be interviewing with (helps me put myself in their shoes)The Job Description (helps me understand what they are looking for)Any context you might have on any interactions with the business so far (recruiters, referrals, hiring managers, etc)I will then spend some time telling you what are the likely questions they might ask you and the rest of the call is spent with me asking you interview questions and giving you feedback after every answer.
You don’t always need a full-time executive; you need the right level of leadership at the right time. Here is why choosing to hire a fractional CMO on a fractional basis is the smartest move for growing companies:
Cost-Effective Executive Leadership: Secure senior marketing leadership at a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire, maximizing your budget while getting expert guidance.
Instant Leadership Gaps Solutions: If you aren't ready to hire a CMO full-time, a fractional leader fills the void immediately, providing proven expertise to avoid common pitfalls.
Strategic Growth Roadmaps: Build a marketing strategy tailored specifically to your industry - whether SaaS, gaming, fashion, or private equity.
Flexible Engagement Models: Benefit from agreements that flex from 5 to 25 hours per week, allowing you to hire a CMO based on your exact business stage and trajectory.
Go-to-Market Strategy Execution: Launch new products and services with a structured, scalable plan and measurable outcomes.
Scalable Adaptability: As your business evolves, your fractional CMO’s involvement scales up or down, offering agility that a traditional hire cannot.
Multi-Channel Marketing Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge across digital, traditional, and emerging marketing strategies without the learning curve.
Performance & Accountability: Implement KPI-driven reporting, weekly reviews, and ongoing optimization to ensure your marketing delivers results.
Efficiency & ROI: Ensure your internal team and marketing budget are being utilized in the smartest way possible.
Fresh Strategic Perspectives: Identify missed opportunities and improve existing campaigns with an unbiased, outside-in view.

In my opinion, yes.
For example, Coaching to land a new role is worth it when you have been looking for 3 months without an offer - the current job search in this job market is over 6 months with some sources already stating over a year. And longer for Executives. When we look at the loss of compensation over time vs speed to land a new role, to me, it is worth it. But you need to find a good Coach.
But don't take it from me, do your research from reputable publications like Forbes and news outlets.
What you need to assess is if you are comfortable with the investment right now and what is the ROI you expect. For example, my average Coaching ROI, although not a guarantee for every case, is over 15 to 1.
But you need to evaluate your options and decide the best option that works for your specific circumstances.
Align with Company Goals: Identify a strategic challenge or goal that your company is focused on. This could be improving leadership skills, increasing team productivity, or enhancing employee retention. Then, demonstrate how career coaching will directly contribute to achieving that goal.
Leverage Internal Resources: See if your company has a professional development budget or a learning and development (L&D) department. Ask your manager or HR about the company's policy on funding external training or coaching.
Quantify the ROI: Use data to show a potential return on investment.
Present a Proposal: Write a clear, concise proposal that includes the problem, your proposed solution (coaching), the expected outcomes, the cost, and the projected ROI. Express your long-term commitment to the company and your desire to grow within it. You are a valuable asset they should invest in.
Offer to Share Learnings: Propose to share what you learn with your team or colleagues, demonstrating a commitment to the entire organization's growth, not just your own.
Track Your Progress: If they agree, propose a plan to track your progress and report back on the outcomes. This shows your accountability and reinforces that the coaching is a legitimate business expense.
I have experience across multiple industries and have coached over 180 professionals in additional industries. I have also worked across B2B and DTC, agency, retail and subscription models. I have been part of the Leadership team, worked on strategic projects, managed $100M/year in budget, worked with 45 markets and speak 6 languages.
But I may still not be what you are looking for.
For example, although I can support a Software Engineer's Career Strategy and Behavioural Interviews, I don't support Software Engineering Technical Interview Coaching as it is highly specialized. Just as Investment Banking.
First, define what you'd like to achieve. And if after reviewing the information on this website, I don't cover what you are looking to solve, then I am probably not the right Coach for you. But you are always welcome to contact me and ask any outstanding doubts you may have.
Understanding how I work:
I treat Career Coaching as I lead Performance Marketing. We set Goals, we evaluate the current approach (strategy), we review the different stages of the recruitment process, we evaluate what are the main challenges, we work on fixing the elements that are blocking that stage of the process, we put trackers in place and evaluate the results, we define tests (materials, comms, etc) until the coachee achieves (or exceeds) their Goal.
Yes, of course you can.
Do I think it is tailored to your particular circumstances and help you move as quickly as 1:1 Coaching? No.
I have been able to triple compensation in 14 sessions in a good job market and double in 23 sessions in a difficult job market. Although this is something I can't guarantee for everyone, 1:1 Coaching changes people's lives. This I have no doubt of.
But give it a try, ask your network for advice, free coaching resources online, networking events. But if none of it helps you, try a Coach. It doesn't have to be me, but find the support that will help you achieve your Goals.
Unfortunately, I don't offer "discovery calls" for 2 reasons:
1) I don't think they are useful for the coachees and only benefit the Coach. The Coach asks a lot of questions to qualify the coachee and share about their services. It doesn't usually add any value to the coachee and I wanted to do things differently because...
2) I want to (and enjoy) add value from day 1 and the first call is dedicated to you. I don't share anything about my services unless you ask me, and the time we have together is exclusively to unblock you. I usually also share any useful resources if I see you can benefit from them.
If you'd like to learn more about how I work, you have 100+ reviews on my website and 75+ on my LinkedIn.
Top-performing companies and executives view coaching as a tool to enhance strengths, overcome challenges, and accelerate development, not to fix poor performance.
- Between 25% and 40% of Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. invest in executive coaching for their leaders. One-third of these companies regularly use external coaches for leadership development.
- 80% percent of companies now invest in leadership coaching to develop skills, build leadership depth, and improve employee retention.
- Studies show that individual performance increases by an average of 70% following an executive coaching engagement.
It demonstrates proactivity, aligns your growth to company Goals, indicates self-awareness, increases Leadership skills and mitigates risk for the Business.
It's not a sign of weakness. It's a sign of strength.
In a competitive market, networking is your most powerful tool. Building relationships and getting referrals is far more effective than just cold applying.
If you need support with effective outreach, messaging, scheduling informational interviews, building your personal brand on LinkedIn and in-person networking planning, reach out.
You are not defined by your career break. You are defined by your experience and the value you bring to a company.
If you need support defining your career strategy, building effective trackers, refining your search based on data, understand how to best differentiate yourself or pivoting into a new industry, reach out.
Don't wait for job postings. Identify and connect with CEOs, hiring managers, and other senior marketing professionals at your target companies and build authentic relationships.
If you need support with effective outreach and messaging, trackers, improving your networking-to-application ratio, informational interviews or building a personal brand, reach out.
Networking is just as, if not more, important for remote roles. Many remote-friendly companies hire based on referrals from their trusted employees. It requires a targeted approach. Use dedicated remote and hybrid job sites to find pre-screened, legitimate opportunities.
If you need support with your marketing materials that demonstrate autonomy and build trust, outreach and networking and informational interviews, reach out.
In my opinion, not for now. I'll give you an example:
The Gemini App states that the maximum number of skills on Linkedin is 50. This is incorrect. And over 400 million users are using the Gemini platform. Please ensure you verify the information in these tools.
I recommend leveraging a Coach, it doesn't have to be me, but have a proven expert that you can double check with. A good coach will change your life.
Demonstrating your AI experience in an interview is crucial, especially in leadership roles where technological proficiency is a competitive edge.

The feedback I have received so far a Performance Marketing Career Coach for the past 9 years is that my guidance is exceptionally effective.
I provide Performance Marketing Career Coaching that delivers immediate, high-ROI results, turning generic experience into interview-winning narratives. My coachees have consistently mentioned my ability to instantly pinpoint weak spots, offer sharp, realistic feedback on Marketing interview questions (including AI and reporting), and significantly build the confidence needed to succeed.
After working over 15 years as a Performance Marketer and hiring up to Director level, we are analytical and demand measurable results. The typical success driven with my coaching is built on providing three key things:
Sharp, Actionable Feedback
Coachees emphasize my "sharp insights, practical, and actionable" advice that immediately pinpointed their weak spots. I cut the fluff and provide specific feedback to ensure every session is efficient and high-ROI.
Specialized Technical & Strategic Performance Marketing Interview Prep
I successfully prepare clients for real-world reporting and AI interview questions. My Performance Marketing Career Coaching is highly relevant to the latest industry demands, especially around technical execution and emerging technology.
Confidence & Interview Mastery
My coachees consistently mention feeling "much more confident" and "performed well" after coaching with me. My guidance doesn't just drill answers; it "builds your confidence" and delivers the "tangible golden nuggets of insight" needed to stand out and convert interviews into offers.
You need to shift your focus from individual contributions to team leadership and business impact. Your resume, LinkedIn, and interview answers should demonstrate that you can coach others, drive strategy, and achieve results through a team.

It's important to have a very clear P&L to understand if you have the level of budget that will make Business Coaching a timely investment or not.
Ask yourself:
- Is the potential ROI worth the money paid?
- What would the alternative be if you didn't hire a Founder Coach (me or someone else)?
The only one who can figure out the right answer is you. It's the same as any other investment decision you make.
If you believe I am the right fit and that it would outweigh the immediate financial strain, after reviewing the numbers and doing the relevant research on your specific circumstances, reach out.
39% to 70% of CEOs have used a Business Coach, with some sources citing that 40% of Fortune 500 CEOs work with a Coach. And this doesn't include Advisory Boards.
The question is not "if", the question for an early stage startup is "when is the right time".
- Mentors tell you what they did.
- Advisors what you should do.
- And Coaches help you figure out the answer for yourself.
Choosing the right person for the right model is key for you to get the highest ROI of you investment. Please refer to this blog post to learn more.

Yes, I provide Coaching across Executives and Mid-Career professionals across multiple industries, business models and sizes. As a Founder Marketing Coach, I support general Business Coaching as well as Marketing Training and AI Training.
One of the common concerns around Founder Coaching is generic advice.
Having worked in Performance Marketing most of my career, one element that makes me different from other Founder Coaches is that I will always ask for data, materials and any other information you can provide.
The advice you will get is as good as the information you provide.
Many times I get approached with a quick question for a quick answer but what is important to note is that answers with minimal information or no information, will almost always be incorrect and send you (and your business) in the wrong direction.
I will be the best partner to your success - if the relevant information is provided for me to be able to produce the guidance that can help you scale at the level you need.
For first-time founders, coaching is transitioning from a luxury to a strategic necessity.
Investing early is justified by the measurable impact on revenue, retention, and decision quality.
Founder Perspective: One founder noted that spending $14k/year on coaching (representing 78% of their 2024 expenses) was considered a necessary investment to "save years in mistakes."
Investor Perspective: Investors increasingly view a founder's investment in Founder Coaching as a signal of maturity, long-term thinking, and commitment to accountability.
Data-Driven Benefits of Founder Coaching
Financial Return (ROI)
Companies utilizing coaching report an average ROI of 5.7 to 7.9 times the cost of the coaching service.
Revenue & Profitability
Strategic business coaching can be a catalyst for revenue growth, with one ICF survey noting that Coaching could lead to an increase in net revenue by up to 46%.
Productivity & Execution
Executives who received both training and coaching improved productivity by 86%, compared to only 22% for those with training alone.
Team & Culture
70% of coached startups report improved team performance, and organizations with strong coaching cultures report higher revenue growth.
Retention
Coaching improves employee retention. One calculation shows that a 10% reduction in turnover among 1,000 employees could result in $1,000,000 saved annually in recruitment and onboarding costs.
Key Outcomes Delivered by a Founder Coach
A Founder Coach helps prevent the common bottlenecks that cause early-stage companies to fail.
Uncover Blind Spots: Provides an independent, objective perspective to challenge survival thinking and surface assumptions that may hinder growth.
Accelerate Strategic Focus: Helps founders move from "daily firefighting" to setting a clear vision, mission, and measurable long-term goals.
Build Leadership Capacity: Structures leadership development (delegation, conflict resolution, executive presence) to ensure the Founder scales themselves before the company.
Investor Confidence: Sharpened investor presentations/pitch decks, clearer articulation of vision, and a demonstrated commitment to self-improvement instill confidence in investors.
Risk Mitigation: Helps founders avoid "expensive errors" and navigate high-stakes decisions (e.g., co-founder conflicts, post-funding operations).
If you think I am the right fit for you as a Founder Coach, reach out.

The role of a CMO in the age of AI is evolving from a brand-focused leader to a revenue-driving, data-fluent, and technology-savvy executive. They don't need to be a data scientist, but they must understand how to collect, analyze, and leverage customer data to inform marketing strategy.

The majority of CMO job opportunities, especially at the senior level, are never posted publicly. They are filled through word-of-mouth, referrals, and internal promotions. Your number one priority is to build a strong, active network.
If you need support future-proofing your career, bypassing public job boards and access opportunities through a "hidden job market" of platforms, recruiters, venture capital firms, and private equity networks, reach out.
It depends on several factors, including experience, scope of work, and the client's industry and size. Some options are: Flat retainer fee, hourly rate, project-based fee or packages.

Selecting the best executive career coaching firm depends heavily on your industry, desired company size (startup vs. enterprise), and career goals. But what is most important, is how you build and maintain those relationships.
If you need support finding the right partner, industry specialization and deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by the C-Suite today, reach out.
Marketing is increasingly a data science function. A successful CMO must be data-fluent and technologically savvy. This means more than just understanding marketing automation; it requires a deep knowledge of AI, machine learning, and predictive tools.
If you need support from an Executive interview coaching consultant with AI-native team transformation and operations, predictive analytics and forecasting, data-driven narratives, attribution and incrementality, executive communication, scenario planning and building influence, reach out.

The CMO role is not about marketing; it's about business leadership. The first step to re-aligning your experience is to shift your focus from marketing tasks to business outcomes. You must speak the language of CEOs and board members - business growth, market share, and profitability.
If you need support reframing your career strategy and experience, building effective trackers and a personal brand, refining your search based on data, understand how to best differentiate yourself, lead global teams or pivoting into a larger business, reach out.
My experience spans over 15 years in Global Marketing, beginning with market launches for startups and evolving into leading the entire worldwide Marketing Strategy and optimization for Sony PlayStation. I speak 6 languages and have driven Revenue across 45 markets in the Americas, Europe, and APAC.
Large Scale International Expansion & Optimization
Later in my career I launched markets and restructured large accounts for E-commerce and B2B platforms, quickly scaling operations for retailers like River Island (launching in 3 markets across new channels) and RS Components where I spearhead PPC Strategy across 9 EMEA and Asian markets delivering double digit revenue growth across 500,000 products. I then expanded into all Marketing channels at Kokoon ($2M Kickstarter startup) where I launched in the UK, US, France, and Germany.
Optimizing Local Performance towards Global Strategy
At Decathlon, the biggest Sports retailer in the World, I maintained profitability while driving Revenue growth for the UK. I positioned the market as a top 5 Marketing Innovation leader, building a Council of 5 countries and becoming an International Advisor to all other territories. This established my leadership in scaling Global best practice beyond the UK within a Local Strategy Business model (no Global/Central team at the time).
Leading Global Strategy & $100M Budget
As Director, Global Integrated Marketing, Strategy & Operations at Sony PlayStation, I led Global + Local Revenue and Subscription growth successfully, acquiring 2 additional verticals in 2022 and 2023. I led the shift towards a bottom of the funnel centralized approach under the Global team that delivered significant cost savings at Business level across Owned and Paid Media and built and scaled the GTM planning motion globally for 100+ campaigns and 200+ stakeholders, including aligning 30+ Country Leads.

My expertise after 15+ years leading global operations with 200+ stakeholders, cross-functional teams of 50+ and budgets up to $100M/year, is mostly on Strategy and how to mobilise an organization to effectively execute it.
Although I have been the first hire in the Marketing team, worked in startups of less than 10 people and been able to build a Marketing function from scratch, most of my experience is from Series C+ to organizations with over 10,000 employees across the world.
Why hire a Performance Marketer that has executed hands-on keyboard in the past with a current focus on Strategy as a Fractional:
Data-driven decision-making
Focus on quantifiable results: I lead team prioritization towards marketing activities that produce measurable outcomes. I am can interpreting complex data across channels because I have executed them hands-on in the past, and using it to guide strategy.
Maximize ROI: Having developed Attribution modeling for Decathlon, dashboards enabling a 40% increase in subscription revenue for MasterClass and transformed Sony’s 9-figure Advertising budget forecast into a sophisticated finance tool, I can optimize marketing budgets to ensure the highest possible return on investment. This includes identifying underperforming channels and reallocating resources to areas that generate the most revenue.
Efficiency and speed
Operational expertise: Coming from a hands-on background, I understand the day-to-day tactical operations of marketing. I can build the right systems and processes to create a scalable marketing "machine" and get high-impact strategies executed quickly.
Agile and adaptable: As a Performance Marketers I am accustomed to working in fast-paced environments, rapidly testing hypotheses, and pivoting strategies based on data. This agility is crucial for adapting to constantly changing markets, new technologies, and evolving customer behaviors. Having worked with automation for 14+ years, this is especially relevant today with AI adoption.
Holistic business alignment
Connects marketing to revenue: I can effectively communicate the value of marketing in terms that Executives and Finance leaders understand. I connect marketing metrics directly to financial outcomes like revenue growth and market share, and work closely and effectively with my Finance, Business Planning and Operations partners - able to maintain a <3% deviation from forecast target.
Integrates across departments: The role of a Fractional Senior Marketer is deeply cross-functional, and a performance marketing background facilitates this. I am skilled at breaking down organizational silos to align marketing efforts with the objectives of sales, product, and finance to create a unified customer journey.
Balances brand with performance: While driving short-term revenue, I also understand the importance of building long-term brand equity. I use data insights to inform creative storytelling, crafting engaging brand messages that also drive measurable business results.
Team leadership and development
Empowers and mentors the team: A former hands-on marketer has a practical understanding of how marketing roles work. I can mentor junior team members and hire the right mix of generalists and specialists needed to execute strategy.
Attracts talent: A Senior Marketing Fractional who has been in the trenches is often better at attracting and retaining talent because they speak the same language as the marketers they lead. I can build a high-performing team quickly by hiring skilled individuals from their network.
I have worked with 5 startups, from pre-seed to Series D.
· Onfido: Tech, Cybersecurity, SaaS, B2B, late stage startup, ~200 employees (acquired)
· MasterClass: Tech, EdTech, Education, B2C, late stage startup, ~100 employees
· Kokoon: Tech, Electronics, Wellness, Pre-Order, B2C, early stage startup, 10 employees (Philips partner)
· Intelligent Reach: Agency, MarTech, Automation, Media, B2B2C, early stage startup, 15 employees (acquired)
· Apartments in Barcelona: Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, B2C, early stage startup, 5 employees (acquired)
Yes, I have experience working with and targeting Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs) across various business models, both by working for SMBs and by developing strategies where SMBs were the core audience.
Experience Working For SMBs
My earliest career and specific consulting roles involved helping smaller, high-growth entities establish and scale their marketing functions, often as the first or sole marketing hire. This provided me with the SMB perspective.
- I developed their first Marketing Strategy (0 to 1) for Kokoon ($2M KickStarter) and nearly doubled pre-order monthly sales within four months.
- As the first marketing hire reporting to the CEO for Apartments in Barcelona (Acquired Rental Company), I increased bookings significantly within six months and grew the marketing team to four.
Experience Targeting SMBs
Later in my career, I leveraged my operational and analytical expertise to directly capture and serve the SMB market at large scale and during strategic business transitions, and also led the target audience shift from SMB to Enterprise:
- As the European Clients Marketing Specialist for Intelligent Reach (MarTech Agency), I delivered significant revenue growth and marketing automation solutions for over 30 EMEA client accounts (SMBs and large retailers) with an e-commerce model. Here I learnt 90% of AI Agent technology (intelligent scraping, data structuring and enrichment, etc) that enabled me for technical projects for the rest of my career.
- I expanded to 500,000 products leading the PPC strategy for RS Components (B2B Wholesale Marketplace), the world's largest electronic components supplier. The audience here included thousands of small businesses, technicians, and repair shops. I managed nine markets, efficiently increasing Revenue and ROI.
- As a Consultant I was heavily involved in the pivot in audience strategy for Onfido (B2B SaaS Cybersecurity, acquired at $650M), turning around performance and shifting from a PLG motion to ABM, delivering a 110% increase in Enterprise Qualified Leads (EQLs). This led to a permanent Head of Growth offer.
I have consistently delivered 20-45% increase in revenue within 3-6 months across B2C, B2B, Retail and Agency.
Notable results in B2B SaaS for Onfido: with prior negative trend, reached 110% increase in Enterprise Qualified Leads year-over-year, resulting in Business revenues of 130% vs 2018. They have recently been acquired by Entrust for $650M.
*Please consider this is not a guarantee I can give to all my clients as each Business faces different challenges and circumstances.
To ensure a successful partnership, avoid investment waste and distractions from strategic work, focus on results rather than tasks.
Define clear goals. Establish a specific and measurable "North Star" for a Fractional Senior Marketer to aim for. This allows them to focus their limited time on the most impactful activities.
Set expectations upfront. Clearly define the Fractional's role (Scope of Work), their key responsibilities, and how often you will check in.
Provide access and support. Treat them as an integral part of your leadership team by giving them access to critical data and insights for them to deploy the strategy you want them to execute. Ensure your internal team is ready to support the execution of the new strategies.
Communicate effectively. Schedule regular check-ins within the hours agreed to discuss high-level strategy and review KPIs. This provides visibility without interfering in execution.
Of course. Please reach out and let me know what you are looking to solve for and/or services you'd like to know more about as well as the financial options you'd like to see from me.
I usually work on retainer and can provide a Basic, Standard, Premium format (Scope of Work) for you to be able to determine the best way forward considering the current business financial commitments, and the growth Goals you'd like to achieve. If you'd like to discuss alternatives, get in touch.
It's important to have a very clear P&L to understand if you have the level of budget that will make a Fractional hire a timely investment or not.
If you believe a Growth Marketing expert would outweigh the immediate financial strain, after reviewing the numbers and doing the relevant research on your specific circumstances, reach out.
The best conditions for a startup to hire a fractional senior marketer are:
When you have secured initial funding and need to establish a marketing foundation but can't afford a full-time executive.
After achieving initial product-market fit, a fractional can help build the necessary marketing foundation for further growth.
For businesses at an inflection point needing to scale, pivot, or navigate rapid growth while developing a strong marketing infrastructure,
Why a Fractional Marketing expert:
Cost-Effective Expertise:
You get the strategic insight and experience of a senior leader without the significant expense of a full-time salary and benefits package, paying only for the hours or scope of work you need.
Strategic Guidance & Alignment:
Fractional marketers provide high-level strategy, align marketing efforts with overall business goals, and ensure tactical execution serves the bigger picture.
Speed & Flexibility:
They can be engaged quickly without long recruiting delays and can adapt their time commitment to fit your specific growth stage and needs.
External Objectivity:
Bringing an outside perspective, a fractional marketing expert can offer unbiased insights and help navigate internal politics to drive actionable improvements.
Team Building & Infrastructure:
They can help build your internal marketing infrastructure, provide training and coaching to existing teams, and guide the development of necessary marketing systems.
Strategic Oversight for Agencies:
If you work with external marketing agencies, a fractional marketing consultant provides the necessary strategic direction and internal oversight to ensure those efforts are effective and aligned with your goals.
Additional considerations:
Mindset:
View the engagement as a long-term investment, not a short-term tactical project. Consider the ROI.
Clear Objectives:
Be clear about your goals, priorities, and expected outcomes to ensure the fractional's efforts are focused and impactful.
Finding the Right Fit:
Understand if you need a "thinker" (strategic advisor) or a "doer" (hands-on leader) to find the right resource who matches your specific needs.
My entire philosophy is built on ensuring that the value I provide is sustainable long after my engagement ends.
My approach is structured around three key phases:
Phase 1: High-Impact, Low-Effort Audit
My first priority is to quickly identify the most impactful, lowest-effort opportunities for your team. Within the first two weeks, I'll assess your current marketing function to find immediate wins that will have a tangible impact on your KPIs.
For example, I'll audit your existing tech stack to identify underutilized tools that can be automated to immediately free up team bandwidth. Or, I'll analyze your current marketing channels to pinpoint low-hanging fruit for conversion rate optimization. The goal is to get a quick win on the board that proves the value of this partnership and builds momentum.
Phase 2: Building Sustainable Systems
Once the initial wins are implemented, my focus shifts to creating a robust, long-term framework. This is where your team's education and empowerment become my top priority. I'll transform our initial recommendations into a repeatable playbook for your team. This playbook will cover everything from data-driven decision-making and forecasting to process automation and strategic planning.
By building these systems, I ensure that the growth isn't dependent on my presence. Your team will have the tools, knowledge, and processes to continue executing and scaling the marketing function past my time.
Phase 3: The Knowledge Transfer and Transition
The final phase is all about a seamless transition. I will provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to key members of your team, ensuring they are fully comfortable with the new systems and tools. I can also help you with a hiring plan to fill any gaps in your team.
My goal is to be a strategic partner who builds a marketing engine that runs on its own, well beyond my engagement.
A Fractional CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) is an experienced, senior-level executive who works with a company on a part-time, temporary, or contract basis to lead the marketing function. They provide the strategic direction, operational oversight, and executive mentorship of a full-time CMO without the cost or long-term commitment.
What is a Fractional CMO?
A Fractional CMO (or CMO for Hire, CMO Consultant, Interim CMO or Part-Time CMO) is a seasoned marketing leader, typically with 15+ years of experience at the Director or VP level, who is engaged on a flexible retainer. They serve as the highest-level marketing authority within a company, delivering executive vision and oversight for a fraction of the time (e.g., 10 to 20 hours per week) and cost of a permanent hire. They are often sought by mid-sized firms, hyper-growth startups, or companies in transition.
2. Who hires a Fractional CMO?
Startups / Mid-Sized Firms
Needs senior strategic guidance immediately but cannot afford or does not yet need a $300k+ full-time executive salary.
Companies in Transition
Needs a proven leader to stabilize the team and bridge the gap after a VP departs, or while searching for a permanent CMO Interim (Temporary CMO).
Specialized/Global Growth
Requires expertise in niche areas (e.g., DTC B2B CMO, Subscription Ecommerce CMO) or rapid International Expansion into new markets (Global Fractional CMO).
3. Key Services provided by a Fractional CMO
A Fractional CMO's services are focused on high-impact strategy and measurable results:
Strategic Oversight: Developing the 12-month marketing strategy, defining KPIs (LTV/CAC), and aligning marketing efforts with the company's financial goals.
Performance & ROI: Driving performance-first marketing and ensuring tangible revenue impact across all channels (Paid Media, SEO, Content).
Team Leadership: Managing, structuring, and mentoring the existing marketing team and providing the framework for scaling the function, often including the hiring and vetting of the next full-time CMO.
Operational Excellence: Building scalable playbooks and integrating automation to increase team efficiency, output, and GTM velocity.
4. Geographic relevance
A Fractional CMO's expertise is easily deployable across regions, making them highly relevant in major business hubs:
CMO NYC / Fractional CMO New York: Serves the highly competitive tech, finance, and media sectors in New York City, focusing on localized B2B and DTC strategies.
CMO London / Global CMO London: Leverages the city's status as a gateway to European and international markets, specializing in Global Fractional CMO Service and multi-market expansion.

I have led teams with an automation and systematization mindset for 13+ years, rolling out GTM planning worldwide across 200+ stakeholders to deliver 100+ campaigns a year. Although I have been the first Marketing hire and worked with startups of less than 10 employees and built agents as part of the technology umbrella I can support deploying, I don't specialize in single marketer agent structures. My expertise lies in the international rollout of effective technology in line with Business Goals, and enabling team acceleration across 4 continents within 6 months.
Why hire a Fractional Marketing expert that has deployed automation for over 14 years:

I have consistently delivered 20-45% increase in revenue within 3-6 months across B2C, B2B, Retail and Agency.
Notable results in Sony after building and leading a 200+ stakeholder operation across 4 continents and transforming a nine-figure Advertising budget forecast into a sophisticated finance tool, built an automation-first strategic Vision two years ahead of its time with a plan to achieve more with less through org redesign, moving from single Vertical to a full Portfolio approach.
With improved productivity, absorbed the Direct (DTC) Vertical in June 2022 shifting from a purely Commercial led program to a Marketing led sales engine, launching in 9 new markets. With renewed guidance to e-commerce led by Marketing expertise, delivered +46% MI Revenue vs. target and 3-digit growth YoY in only 6 months while increasing +61% YoY for the S&S Vertical.
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
One my first roles in Marketing was in Automation, supporting some of the largest retailers optimize their Marketing spend with Feed Management solutions and expanding into new channels. I had 32 clients at that time.
The way I have lead global cross-functional teams of 50+ and my day to day task management to build a GTM Planning motion involving 200+ stakeholders has incorporated systematization, automation, and today AI assistants, custom GPTs and agents.

With 14+ years of experience with Automation, I have been able to deliver double-digit revenue growth year over year because of the way I integrated everything we did in my team. The operational efficiency driven by some of these changes enabled entire Business Unit consolidation and delivered triple-digital growth.
It can save and make money.
Start by identifying the problem you'd like to solve. Research and network from there. Then we can discuss your approach, technical and non-technical resources.
If you are concerned that employees won't adopt the new systems, that the technology will be too rigid, or that it won't be a good fit for their specific business model, you are not wrong.
But the process of adoption is not easy. I deployed automation and systematization solutions for Fortune 500 companies, involving 200+ stakeholders, in only 6 months. That is an achievement.
You need certain elements to set the right tools for success. If this is the support you need, get in touch.
