Is Career Coaching worth the ROI?

In my opinion, yes. For example, Coaching to land a new role is worth it when you have been looking for 3 months without an offer - the current job search in this job market is over 6 months with some sources already stating over a year. And longer for Executives. When we look at the loss of compensation over time vs speed to land a new role, to me, it is worth it. But you need to find a good Coach.But don't take it from me, do your research from reputable publications like Forbes and news outlets. What you need to assess is if you are comfortable with the investment right now and what is the ROI you expect. For example, my average Coaching ROI, although not a guarantee for every case, is over 10 to 1.But you need to evaluate your options and decide the best option that works for your specific circumstances.

How can I justify Coaching as an expense or build a business case for my company?

Align with Company Goals: Identify a strategic challenge or goal that your company is focused on. This could be improving leadership skills, increasing team productivity, or enhancing employee retention. Then, demonstrate how career coaching will directly contribute to achieving that goal.Leverage Internal Resources: See if your company has a professional development budget or a learning and development (L&D) department. Ask your manager or HR about the company's policy on funding external training or coaching.Quantify the ROI: Use data to show a potential return on investment.Present a Proposal: Write a clear, concise proposal that includes the problem, your proposed solution (coaching), the expected outcomes, the cost, and the projected ROI. Express your long-term commitment to the company and your desire to grow within it. You are a valuable asset they should invest in.Offer to Share Learnings: Propose to share what you learn with your team or colleagues, demonstrating a commitment to the entire organization's growth, not just your own.Track Your Progress: If they agree, propose a plan to track your progress and report back on the outcomes. This shows your accountability and reinforces that the coaching is a legitimate business expense.

Are you the right Career Coach for me?

I have experience across multiple industries and have coached over 180 professionals in additional industries. I have also worked across B2B and DTC, agency, retail and subscription models. I have been part of the Leadership team, worked on strategic projects, managed $XXXM/year in budget, worked with 45 markets and speak 6 languages.But I may still not be what you are looking for. For example, although I can support a Software Engineer's Career Strategy and Behavioural Interviews, I don't support Software Engineering Technical Interview Coaching as it is highly specialized. Just as Investment Banking.First, define what you'd like to achieve. And if after reviewing the information on this website, I don't cover what you are looking to solve, then I am probably not the right Coach for you. But you are always welcome to contact me and ask any outstanding doubts you may have.Understanding how I work:I treat Career Coaching as I lead Performance Marketing. We set Goals, we evaluate the current approach (strategy), we review the different stages of the recruitment process, we evaluate what are the main challenges, we work on fixing the elements that are blocking that stage of the process, we put trackers in place and evaluate the results, we define tests (materials, comms, etc) until the coachee achieves (or exceeds) their Goal.

Can I learn everything a Career Coach would help with by myself (or get free advice)?

Yes, of course you can. Do I think it is tailored to your particular circumstances and help you move as quickly as 1:1 Coaching? No.I have been able to triple compensation in 10 sessions in a good job market and double in 14-23 sessions in a difficult job market. Although this is something I can't guarantee for everyone, 1:1 Coaching can change people's lives. This I have no doubt of.But give it a try, ask your network for advice, free coaching resources online, networking events. But if none of it helps you secure a new role within 3 months, try a Career Coach. It doesn't have to be me, but find the support that will help you achieve your Goals.But if you are already there, past the 3 month search, and would like to work with me, reach out.

In my opinion, not for now. I'll give you an example:As of the time this information has been written, the Gemini app states that the maximum number of skills on Linkedin is 50. This is incorrect. And over 400 million users are using the Gemini platform and are getting an incorrect response. Please ensure you verify the information in these tools.I recommend leveraging a Coach, it doesn't have to be me, but have a proven expert that you can double check with. A good coach will change your life.

Demonstrating your AI experience in an interview is crucial, especially in leadership roles where technological proficiency is a competitive edge. Are career propietary templates included in your rate?

It depends on the Plan you sign up for. For example, if you are on the Basic Plan, they are not included. However, we can work through any templates you have sourced yourself and I can also provide feedback on elements you may want to consider or think about when getting started.Occasionally, I can also point you in the direction of some good public templates I have found over the years for you to develop on top of it on your own.

Can I message you between sessions and receive guidance asynchronously?

That’s right, the amount of time I can support you with is tied to the Plan you choose. For example, on the Basic Plan you can message me on LinkedIn with quick questions. However, if I think a full breakdown is needed I will advise we move it to a call. I will not provide quick answers to a complex question if they can do more harm than good - this is for my coachees benefit. For example, if you ask me a question about negotiation that requires more than a 5 min answer and I say “yes” to it without coaching you through it, it can put at risk the next interview stage - which I will not want for you or anyone I support.

Can you review my materials/work ahead of time?

It depends on the Plan you sign up for. For example, with the Basic Plan, the rate is just for the Coaching session and any time needed before or after it to review materials, will be charged separately.I always request a brief before starting with a new coachee. This will be reviewed 5min before the call and it is advised to include the most important information you want us to focus on in your first session to address your most pressing challenges and unblock how you achieve your Goals.However, this can be included in the rate with other Plans. What are the propietary templates?

The propietary templates are the ones I have been using for many years and that my coachees have asked me for. I think it’s important that you build yours, that you build based on what matters to you and your priorities, that you go through the process on your own which is the whole premise of Coaching. But I also offer them as an option if it is preferred.

Do you think the 1 hour Basic Plan is the right starting point?

In general, you need to think about what you'd like to get out of Coaching and then decide what is the best Plan for you. For example, if you'd like for me to review your resume and provide feedback outside of a Coaching session, the Basic Plan wouldn't be the best choice for you.Instead of telling you what I think, I’ll tell you the most common process I see with my coachees.1) They usually get started with the 30min call - because they don’t know me and it’s a good option to get started. We usually cover Goals and positioning.2) They tend to book a single session if they only need me for one problem they want to solve for. Usually 1h for 1 topic: Linkedin or Resume or Interview prep for 1 company.3) They book a package when they want me to help them with multiple topics or processes because they want to land a job quickly, or reframe their profile to improve their personal brand, or need help with a promotion.

What is your pricing or rate for Career Coaching?

I work with Plans. You can book any Plan however you like: 15min, 30min, 45min or 60min. I work on demand, meaning you book the days/times that work best for you based on my availability. If you'd like to learn more about the different options, reach out.I send a receipt after checkout and I usually ask you for a brief to get more context on what you'd like to achieve with our time together, which I will take a quick look at before the call.You can find the most common services here and you can book them on the Basic Plan. I also offer Career Coaching packages with a discount and you can find and book the most common options on the Basic Plan here. Please reach out if you prefer a different option or need a different services that is not listed.*If you are an executive, I recommend other Plans as I am typically asked for extensive support and services beyond what the Basic Plan offers. Can sessions count or go towards the overall cost of the 2-session package rate or the All-Access Plan?

All my Plans offer a discounted package option for 2 sessions, 5 sessions or 10 sessions (however this is very flexible and if you prefer a different amount, just let me know). These packages are booked independently from any individual session or sessions you have had with me and are typically booked when the coachee would like to work on a specific challenge for a longer period or time over a few sessions or when they need help across multiple interview processes or internal challenges for a promotion.Most coachees book a 30min Coaching session to actually work on several challenges together and then book a package.If you have any questions around my work, Plans or packages, reach out and I can help clarify anything you have doubts on.

Do you support entry-level professionals or early career?

I do. Although I operate at executive level, I was once in your shoes and can help you stand out to different levels of seniority. I support students who want to get their first internship, interns who want to get their first full time role, specialists who want to move to manager, managers that want to start leading teams, team leads who want to start leading at global level and senior managers that want to level up to directors.

No, a brief is not necessary and it's completely up to you if you want to provide context before the call. Most people prefer to send me a brief, but it is not a requirement nor a must have for any of my Coaching sessions, Plans or Packages.
